Olivia Munn Is Developing a Show About 1970s Female Sportscaster, Her First Move Behind the Camera

Olivia Munn is heading to the CW for a new show about an female sportscaster in the 1970s.

Munn will produce and co-write the show, which is yet-to-be titled, alongside The Good Wife‘s Ted Humphrey.

The Hollywood Reporter describes the plot as such:

Set in 1974, the drama revolves around a young journalist who gets hired by an ambitious New York news programming chief as a publicity stunt to be one of the first female on-air sports reporters. She then has to learn to navigate gender politics in front of and behind the camera at a time when women were literally not even allowed in the press box.

 

 

“Moving behind the camera now! Excited about selling my first show!” Munn wrote on Instagram.
